Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Centre

High Rise, Mixed Use
About This Project

Nanning, China
Designed between the Zhupai River and rolling hillsides, the Nanning International Convention centre is strategically placed at a key gateway into the city centre. Designed to ‘fit into the hillside,’ the curvilinear form of the buildings and central plaza mimic the local geography. A single tower defines the site as a local landmark. The hotel, convention and exhibition spaces make extensive use of glass curtain facades, which provide visitors with impressive views of the city centre. Designed in partnership with WZMH, the design was recognized in an international design competition. Additional exhibition halls, offices, residential and hotel components as well as a civic square, were planned for future phases
